    It is thinner, not as thick as the original gasket, but, I think it will work. Haven't installed yet as I am still looking for a new Filler tube for this car. The old one is rusted out. Having trouble finding a filler tube for this year of cougar.

    Fit my 1978 ford f250 plastic side mounted tank perfectly
